Booston keeps changing. A new version goes live every two weeks, and usually you only notice when a screen looks different or a colleague shows you something you didn't know existed. That's a shame, because some of those improvements save you work straight away.
On this page we track what has been added, per period — and above all: what it gets you as a user. Not technical release notes, but the changes you see back in your own environment: in the dashboard, in your jobs, in your campaigns and on your website. The end goal: see at a glance what is new, so you use functionality you would otherwise accidentally work around.
The most recent period is at the top. At the bottom you'll find the archive with all earlier versions. You'll find your environment's version number at the bottom right of the dashboard, under Version.
Before you begin
- This page describes the complete Booston suite. Which parts you see depends on the modules in your subscription and on your user role.
- Is a feature described here but you can't find it? Then the module is not active in your environment. Check with the helpdesk.
- New functionality is rolled out in phases. A few weeks can pass between the release and the moment it is live for you.
- Updates that only happen under the hood — speed, maintenance, stability — are not listed separately here, unless you notice something in the screens.
July 2026
The month of AI support for job texts and a thorough clean-up of the ATS settings.
- Write and improve job texts with AI. For a new job as well as an existing one, you can have the text drafted or sharpened. It saves you the blank-page moment and produces consistent texts. See Job text creation with AI.
- Visible which fields were filled by AI. A job shows with a marker which attributes were filled automatically, so you check what matters instead of rereading everything.
- AI text costs in Cost & Performance. Text generation usage counts towards your AI costs, so at the end of the month you see where the budget went.
- Audience analysis across all your jobs in one go. You no longer have to start the analysis per job: one action runs it across every active job. See Candidate audience analysis.
- One clear ATS settings page. The separate switches for import, export, webhooks and status synchronisation have been merged into a single set. You now see at a glance what moves between Booston and your ATS. See Connecting your ATS and Booston.
- More candidate data to Carerix. LinkedIn, website, blog and video links are sent along on export, so your recruiters see the full profile in the ATS.
- Meta lead forms follow your candidate attributes. A field you add to your candidate profile can be asked for directly in your lead form.
- Locations in multiple languages. You set a location's title, url and description per language, so your location pages are properly findable in your second language too.
- Environment switcher in the menu. If you work with more than one environment, you switch between them via the Booston logo at the top left — without logging in again.
Second quarter of 2026 (April – June)
The quarter in which the Boost tab, the audience analysis and the new ATS connections went live.
- Boost tab on the job. Per job you see which campaigns are attached — Meta job ads, Jobboard network — plus the costs and results per campaign. No more laying dashboards side by side to see whether a job is running.
- Candidate audience analysis. Booston analyses your job and describes the audience, the attractive points and the objections candidates are likely to have. Useful as a starting point for both your text and your ad. See Candidate audience analysis.
- New ATS connection Carerix (GraphQL). A faster, more stable Carerix connection with better job discovery. See Connecting Carerix to Booston.
- New ATS connections Ubeeo and MySolution. Two more integrations, including import of candidate status and rating.
- Candidate rating back to your ATS. The review score given in Booston synchronises to the ATS, so your recruiters don't have to look in two systems.
- UTM data along to your ATS. When a candidate is exported, the full origin travels with them, so you can see in your ATS which channel someone came in through. See Analytics.
- Email templates, team members, locations and marketing settings renewed. These screens have moved to the new dashboard environment: faster, with search, and built the same way as the rest. See Email templates and Team members.
- Permissions per subscription type. New environments automatically get a fitting permission profile, so you no longer have to set everything up by hand. See Users.
- Work in Booston straight from Carerix. The connection opens Booston inside your ATS screen and recognises who you are, so you don't have to log in separately. See SSO: working in Booston from your ATS without logging in separately.
- Uniform address and map fields. Address search now works the same way on jobs, candidates and locations, with the map next to the input fields.
- Sticky ad preview in Meta job ads. The preview stays in view while you scroll, so you see immediately what you are changing.
First quarter of 2026 (January – March)
The quarter of the Content Creator: ads that Booston drafts for you.
- AI ad copy for Meta job ads. Booston writes the ad text based on your job. You stay in control: editing and regenerating is always possible.
- Automatically generated videos. For your Meta campaigns, Booston creates a video based on your job and imagery — an ad format you would otherwise have to have made externally.
- Carousel ads. An ad format showing several jobs or images one after another, including a preview in the dashboard.
- Read CVs automatically. On an application, Booston reads the CV and pre-fills the candidate profile. It saves retyping and produces more complete records. See Creating and editing candidates.
- Candidate rating by AI. Candidates get a score relative to the job, as an aid when sorting a large pile of responses.
- Meta lead forms with your own questions. You link the questions in the form to your candidate attributes, so leads come in with the data you actually select on.
- New ATS connections Bullhorn (v2) and TeamTailor.
- Job attributes in the new dashboard environment. Managing attributes now sits in the same screen as the rest of your settings. See Managing attributes.
- Better structured data for FAQ pages. Your frequently-asked-questions block is better understood by search engines and AI assistants, which helps your findability.
- Permission overview per role. One screen showing who is allowed to do what, instead of clicking through user by user.
Second half of 2025 (July – December)
The period in which the Jobboard network grew up and candidate attribute management arrived.
- Jobboard network fully set up. Creating campaigns, choosing publishers, setting a budget per campaign and determining the run time — all from the dashboard. See Jobboard network.
- Cost & Performance per campaign and per job. You see what a campaign costs and what it delivers, broken down to job level, with a progress bar on the run time.
- Manage candidate attributes. You decide which fields you record for a candidate, including selection lists, default values, favourites and an explanation per field. See Managing attributes.
- Extended candidate data to Carerix. Address, languages and the new attributes are sent along on export.
- AI module with cost monitoring. You switch AI on per part and see the usage in your subscription settings, so there are no surprises. See Switching on AI, setting it up and tracking your costs.
- New page element: extended application form. A form in which you ask for more than name and CV, without custom work.
- New ATS connections Easyflex and YellowYard. See Connecting Easyflex.
- Creating a job in the new flow for everyone. The step-by-step job editor with description, attributes, location, media, boost and share has become the standard.
- An image in use can no longer be deleted. Prevents blank spots on your website because someone throws away a file that is still used somewhere. See Images and files.
- Activities overview tidied up. Faster to search, so you more easily find back what happened automatically.
First half of 2025 (January – June)
The period in which the job editor, Analytics and the new design settings went live.
- Creating a job in steps. A guided flow from basic details, attributes, description and location through to media, boost and share — with validation per step, so you don't only hear at the end what is missing.
- Analytics with UTM tracking. Every click carries an origin, and that origin stays attached to the candidate. That is how you see which channel brings you applicants. See Analytics.
- Analytics tab Recruitment. Performance per job and per recruiter, with a total row per dashboard.
- Job feed overview in the new dashboard environment. All your feeds on one screen, with settings per campaign. See Job feed.
- Design settings renewed. You manage fonts, colours and styles in a dedicated screen, with a colour picker and direct effect on your whole site.
- Language settings page. Managing the active languages in your environment in one place.
- New ATS connections Helloflex and Jaicob.
- Ratings at candidate level. A score belongs to the candidate, the status to the application — so someone who applies twice does not get two separate ratings.
- Better searching and filtering on jobs. On mobile too, with a search that handles address, postcode and town.
- Ads stop when the job goes offline. Prevents you paying for traffic to a job that is no longer open.
Second half of 2024 (July – December)
The period of the new text editor and the further development of Meta job ads.
- New text editor throughout the suite. With text variables, heading styles that follow your brand settings, an image picker, video and tables — and three variants (minimal, medium, full) depending on the field.
- Meta job ads substantially expanded. A better ads page, preview, validation on text length, suggestions, improved search and a Cost & Performance table that updates immediately after publishing. See Meta job ads.
- Create candidates manually. Add a candidate without an application having come first. See Creating and editing candidates.
- Sub-tabs on the candidates overview. All candidates, leads & applies, in progress and exit — so you don't filter again every time.
- Candidate detail as a side panel. You open a candidate next to your overview instead of on a separate page, and keep your list and filters.
- New ATS connections Otys (v2), Cockpit and Carerix (v2). Including webhooks, so a changed job is in Booston immediately instead of at the next synchronisation.
- Visibility per device on page elements. You decide per element whether it is shown on mobile, desktop or both.
- Focal point on images improved. You choose which part of a photo always stays in frame when cropping. See Images and files.
- Location pages with their matching jobs. Jobs are automatically linked to the right location.
First half of 2024 (January – June)
The period in which the candidates dashboard was rebuilt.
- New candidates dashboard. Overview and detail page rebuilt, with information, files and rating tabs, and the linked recruiter in view.
- Status and rating from your ATS visible in Booston. Per application you see whether the hand-off to the ATS succeeded and which status the candidate has there.
- Meta job ads rebuilt. Audiences, content templates, job groups and Cost & Performance in new screens.
- Consent banner following Consent Mode v2. Your cookie notice meets the current requirements.
- New ATS connection RecruiterFlow and a custom connection on Salesforce.
- Jobs are no longer paused on an empty ATS response. Prevents your entire job list going offline because of an outage at the ATS.
- Images automatically as WebP. Smaller files, faster pages and a better loading-speed score.
- Better search on the website. Advanced search works better on location and is optimised for mobile.
- More fonts and page elements. Among them new column options in the paragraph element and a recruiter grid.

Coming soon
What we are working on right now. As soon as it is live, we update this page.
- Create a job with AI from an existing text. You paste a raw job text or a url, Booston runs the audience analysis and sets the job up for you on that basis.
- Audience analysis automatically on a new job. The analysis starts by itself as soon as you create a job, so the advice is already there when you start writing.
- Boost indicator in the jobs overview. Per job an indication of how hard it is being advertised, with the active channels alongside — so you see at a glance which job needs attention.
- AI as a third campaign type on the Boost page. Alongside Meta job ads and Jobboard network, you pick AI support directly from the same place.
- Audience analysis as the basis for your ad copy. The outcome of the analysis automatically becomes context for the texts Booston writes for you.
- Ad preview the way Facebook shows it. A more realistic preview of your Meta ad while you are drafting.
- Disqualifying questions in Meta lead forms. An answer can close the form, so candidates who don't meet a hard requirement don't end up in your list.
- Easyflex multilingual, with more extensive candidate data.
- Digital signing of the data processing agreement. Give consent at login, with the option to download the document and to indicate that a colleague is authorised to sign.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I see which version I have?
At the bottom right of the dashboard, behind Version. That number refers to the last major release running in your environment.
I can't see a feature from this overview in my environment. How come?
Usually because the matching module is not in your subscription, or because your role has no access to it. Sometimes the rollout is still in progress. Email support@booston.io and we'll check.
Will I be notified when there is something new?
We announce major releases to your contact person. This page is the complete list, so if you want to know what has been added in between, this is where you look.
Why are individual fixes no longer listed here?
We fix dozens of small things every two weeks. Listing them all makes the page unreadable. If you notice something in your own environment, report it — then we'll come back to you when it's solved.
Need help?
Can't work it out, or want to know whether a feature from this overview is available for your environment too? Email support@booston.io or call 085 0044 215 and mention:
- the name of your environment;
- what you want to achieve;
- the message you see, if there is an error message.
Would you rather go through the settings together? Book a free 30-minute online demo — then we'll walk through it together. Job Done!
