Connection features |
|
Job update frequency | Immediately to max. 20 minutes. The Recruitee ATS connection does not support webhooks for real-time posting at this time. |
Job multilingual support | Yes: unlimited amount of languages. Important: Recruitee does not support multilingual attribute values meaning attribute values have to be translated within the Booston dashboard to really leverage a multilingual integration correctly. |
Job attribute mappings | All attributes are mapped automatically. No manual settings have to be done on Booston side. |
Recruitee API Key costs | A private Recruitee API key is needed. Not all Recruitee subscriptions support private API keys. Please read the Recruitee subscrion page for more information. |
Creating a private Recruitee API key | More information on creating a Recruitee API key here. |

More information on creating a Recruitee API key here.
You will need from the Recruitee dashboard:
- Company name
- ID
- Subdomain
Please provide this information to your Booston contact person.
Setup Booston
- Log ingin to your Booston dashboard
- Go to settings > attributes
Setting up the job’s publication texts
First, make sure you set your job text the way you like it in the ‘title and description attributes’ section.
Each of the text fields is mapped to a Recruitee text field:
On Booston's side you can now optimize the text field attributes:
Which texts do you want to import?
- If you set an attribute at (1) inactive it won’t be active in Booston and we won’t import the mapped text field data from Recruitee.
- If you want to have the ATS Recruitee populate the information turn ‘auto-populate by ATS’ (2) on.
- If the attribute is active (1) but ‘auto-populate by ATS’ is turned off (2) you can manually add content in Booston to a job at any time.
Edit the attribute (3):
- Label: give the text attribute a header to your liking.
- Text search: decide if the text attribute should be taken into account when somebody does a text search on the website.
- Search rank: decide in which order the text attributes should be ordered. E.g., in which order they should show up on the job’s website page.
- On the job detail page: should the job text be visible on the job’s website page?
- In job box: when presenting a job list like so: https://preview.booston.io/vacatures. Should the job text be used to present an introduction?
When all text attributes have been managed you can check the output via recruitment > jobs > click a job. Like so:
(note: make sure at least 1 job is published in Recruitee to be able to check the results in Booston).
Setting up the remaining job attributes
On the remaining sections of settings,> attributes, we can now manage the job’s attribute values like categories, branches, salary attributes, location attributes, etc.
- If you set an attribute at (1) inactive it won’t be active in Booston and we won’t import the mapped attribute value from Recruitee.
- If you want to have the Recruitee ATS populate the information turn on ‘auto-populate by ATS’ (2).
- If the attribute is active (1) but ‘auto-populate by ATS’ (2) is turned off you can manually add content in Booston to a job at any time via recruitment > jobs > edit job > edit the respective attribute.
Edit an attribute (3):
- Label: give the text attribute a header to your liking.
- Text search: decide if the text attribute should be taken into account when somebody does a text search on the website.
- Search rank: decide in which order the text attributes should be ordered. E.g., in which order they should show up on the job’s website page.
- Jobalert: should the value be active in the jobalert form? E.g.: https://preview.booston.io/jobalert
- On the job detail page: should the job text be visible on the job’s website page?
- In job box: when presenting a job list like so: https://preview.booston.io/vacatures. Should the job text be used to present an introduction?
- In job alert mail: would the attribute value be listed in a job alert mail when a candidate receives an update about a new suitable job?
Check the attribute values coming in from recruitee (4). Via the ‘hamburger menu,’ you can check all values that came in so far.
A new attribute value will automatically be added to the list when a new Recruitee job enters the Booston system with a yet unknown attribute value. If you want to, you can also rewrite values at this moment on Booston's side and tweak them independently of Recruitee to your liking.
Great, you’re all set! Now let’s start posting some jobs!
Posting jobs and receiving candidates
Now that you have set up the connection with all desired fields we can start creating jobs and publish them to Booston. These are some of the fields that will be imported into Booston when this job gets published to Booston as described in the previous section of this article:
When the job is created you can publish the job live via this dropdown by setting the value to 'puiblished':
Also make sure to:
- (optional) enter a correct date range (the end date should be in the future if used).
On the next run, your newly created and published job are imported into Booston. You can check your new job via recruitment > jobs
